MIT Professor Can Solve World’s Energy Problem Using Pools of Water

mit-professor-can-solve-worlds-energy-problem-using-pools-of-water

Dan Nocera, a professor at MIT, believes that he can solve the entire world’s energy problems using an Olympic-sized pool of water. Pretty cool stuff if you ask me. Basically, they use the power of the sun to split the water and store the energy, thus making a large amount of solar energy available to use. Gotta love solar energy mixed with water, formally known as aqua! Reminds me of a post I made awhile back called Nintendo DS Lite With Solar Panels – DIY, which was a guide to show you how to allow your Nintendo DS to charge itself using solar power.

Anyway, check out the video on solving the world’s energy problem using pools of water:

This energy is good for personalized energy. Maybe it’ll come to fruition sometime in the near future.

Microsoft’s working on a program to utilize speech to text, and then automated translation as a “phone call.” Quotes because the call was technically made through a computer. Not perfect, but may be useful in business situations.

YouTube translates audio into captions automatically

No one can deny that YouTube has an impressive following. Still, Google knows that the video website hasn’t been able to serve all those who may visit it including the hearing impaired. The company took a step toward addressing this shortcoming when it launched automatic captions to a small group back in November.
      As the name [...]

This guy has got a lot of talent. Check out his street drumming.

As you can see, his entire drum setup costs around $8 and a quick trip to the nearest Walmart or Home Depot. It must be nice having inexpensive musical equipment. ;)

Anyway, be sure to enjoy his phresh beats, yo!
