Today we have information and photos of the Sony Vaio VPCZ114GX/S and VPCZ11Z9E/B. These are the upgraded versions of the VGN-z890 and the VGN-z790 (click them to see the review.)

The Sony Vaio Z-Series has quite a lot of updates to offer. We will review the VPCZ114GX/S soon. If you are interested in the other models, I suggest you click the above links as the other three models have exactly the same stats as the VGN-Z890 and VGN-z790 and will test the same.

The Sony Vaio VPCZ114GX/S and VPCZ11Z9E/B all come with many design changes such as:

  • A back-lit keyboard! (my personal favorite)
  • Sony X-black LCD technology – Gives increased resistance to scratches/markets & extreme details of the real wide 1600×900 resolution.
  • A Core i7-620M Processor (For the Sony Vaio VPCZ11Z9E/B)
  • A Core i5-520M Processor (For the Sony Vaio VPCZ114GX/S)
  • Intel® HM57 Express Chipset
  • NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M GPU With 1GB of VRam AND Intel® HD Graphics
  • THREE USB Ports!
  • Estimated 6 Hours of Battery Life
  • Storage for four solid state hard drives (For the Sony Vaio VPCZ11Z9E/B)
  • Storage for four solid state hard drives (For the Sony Vaio VPCZ114GX/S)
  • Weighs only 3.42 Lbs (1.55KG) with the charger!
  • 3G Internet
  • Built-in GPS
  • Note: These are NOT all of the features of these laptops, just some of the highlights and major changes from the previous version.

I know what you are thinking… this is one sexy upgrade from the previous model ( The VGN-z890 and the VGN-z790 )

This is quite an exciting time! Expect reviews for these laptops!
I really would’ve performed the old style naming! So much easier to write and read!

Thanks for the update, I have added the information. I just want to remind everyone that these are NOT all of the features of these laptops, just some of the highlights and major changes from the previous version.
